John Gollings is Australia’s preeminent architectural photographer, renowned for his expansive and evocative images of the built environment. His career spans over five decades, during which he has documented iconic structures across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Gollings’ work encompasses a diverse range of subjects, from ancient sacred sites to contemporary architecture, capturing the cultural and spatial narratives embedded within these spaces. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from RMIT University and is an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects. Gollings has contributed to numerous publications and exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, and has been recognized with various accolades for his significant contributions to the field of architectural photography. His extensive archive continues to serve as a vital resource for understanding the evolution of architecture and urban landscapes.
