Mark Douglass is a renowned Australian glass artist and designer, celebrated for his sculptural hand-blown glass works that merge artistry with functional design. Since establishing his practice in 1989, Douglass has become a prominent figure in the Australian art scene, known for his innovative approach to glass as a medium.

In 2001, Douglass founded his own glassblowing studio, Melbourne Glassworks, located in Kensington. This fully equipped atelier serves as the creative hub where each piece is conceived and meticulously crafted in-house. His team of skilled glass artists hand-blows each item to order, ensuring a unique and personalized creation every time.

Douglass's work spans large-scale commercial commissions to one-off experimental pieces. He is also the founder of Melbourne Glassworks, a state-of-the-art glassblowing studio located in Kensington. His creations are characterized by their bold designs and innovative use of glass, often incorporating elements of lighting and sculpture.

Throughout his career, Douglass has been recognized for his contributions to the Australian glass design industry. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Churchill Trust Fellowship, acknowledging his significant impact on the field.
