The Lucky Dip

In 2019 & Gallery popped up in Federation Square for The Lucky Dip exhibition by Julie Collins & Derek John.

The Lucky Dip is all about the joy of making. Most exhibitions are based around a theme or a particular style, but for us The Lucky Dip is about reconnecting with the materials, methods and ideas we have used for over 30 years. With 85% of The Lucky Dip exhibition being new work, its not a retrospective, it's more like an introspective. Returning to the studio after a difficult period has been a time of re-evaluation, re-calibration and re-alignment. As we re-emerge so will our sculptures as they are unwrapped.

But most of all, everyone loves a surprise.

& Gallery

@ Upper West Side

& Gallery’s first exhibition was originally a pop up in the Spencer Street Melbourne. What started as a pop up became a permanent gallery presenting exhibition for two years between 2015 - 2017.

& ART FAIR
17 - 21 AUGUST 2016

In August this year, & gallery undertook the immense task of presenting the inaugural & Art Fair.  With the cancallation of The Melbourne Art Fair in 2016, there was a significant gap in the Melbourne art scene.  The & Art Fair helped to bridge this gap by providing an extensive exhibition of sculpture. 25 sculptors over 12 spaces, with over 150 works in total.

It featured...
Bruce Armstrong, Dean Bowen, Cliff Burtt, Julie Collins & Derek Dohn, Mark Cuthbertson, Ryan F Kennedy, Genevieve McClean, Akiko Nagino, Marsha Pels, Simons Perry, Yvonne Kenndall, Jacqui Ralph, Geoff Ricardo, Faustas Sadaukas, Roh Sign, Mark Stoner, Pimpisa Tinpalit, Frank Veldz, Liz Walker, David Waters, Jason Waterhouse, Fredrick White, Christabel Wigley, Mike Nicholls, Julie Shiels & Jodie Goldring.
